Take That *are* coming to the United States

December 11th, 2006 · No Comments

My comments are really just like looking at a magic bauble of some sort. Yesterday, I wrote about how Take That should try the United States again, given their amazing success with “Back for Good” before Robbie Williams left and the group broke up. Well, today the UK is buzzing with news that Take That has signed with Interscope Records (the same company representing Eminem and 50 Cent among others). It should take less than a year for the group to make it to the US to do some promotion…once the UK resurgence of the group wears off. And one of the cities they should visit is Pittsburgh =)

A Beautiful World

Take That are heading across the Atlantic after signing a deal with an American record label. They’ve agreed to join Interscope, the label with Eminem and 50 Cent on their books.

The band’s new single Patience and the album Beautiful World have topped the charts for sales and downloads here and the DVD of their recent tour is also a best-seller.

HMV’s Gennaro Castaldo said: “To top all five official artists charts in the same week is unprecedented in chart history, making this arguably the biggest music comeback of all time. It’s a fairytale return for Take That and one which confirms the band’s universal appeal and iconic status. If it wasn’t enough that Take That are set to dominate the Christmas best-seller lists, they must now also be in the frame to be nominated for the Best Single, Best Album and Best Group categories at the forthcoming Brit Awards in February 2007 to seal an amazing return.”
